Orla Maguire

Orla Maguire has been a Guidance counsellor at Cavan Institute since 2015. She gained a BA in Public Administration from UL, where she developed an interest in human resources. Starting her career in recruitment, her focus then moved to career guidance as she took up a role as Student Support Advisor in DIT. Orla has qualifications in adult guidance from Maynooth University and career guidance from the University of Ulster, and she has worked with such varied groups as the long-term unemployed as well as second level and PLC students. Orla has extensive knowledge of progression options from PLC into higher education both in Ireland and abroad, as well as the wide range of employment opportunities available to PLC students.
